The DoorPack Service software Sales and Quote Center module allows your sales rep to quickly prepare quotes for both commercial and residential customers.  DoorPack provides the ultimate flexibility by allowing you to also record any hand-written quotes and Excel prepared quotes. Outside sales reps can also use  DoorPack’s ability to prepare quotes remotely on lap-top computers while they are meeting with their customers.

Initially the user works with Fireline Systems to import their primary manufacturers parts into DoorPack. Inventory items that are being tracked are set up in QuickBooks.  Pricing is updated in DoorPack using manufacturer provided multipliers or can be manually updated. Package templates (modules) along with package options and option pick lists are easily put together in DoorPack. Once these templates are assembled the sales person is ready to create their own quotes templates can be modified at any time.

The DoorPack dashboard provides a quick snap-shot of the company quotes by sales person. There are several viewing options available on the dash board.

To prepare a new quote for an existing customer select the customer from the Customer LookUp tab.

When you arrive at the customer history screen you will see this customers history details listed on a series of tabs.

The Customer Quotes tab will display all of the existing quotes for this customer including their status.

Clicking on the  New Quotes button will allow you to prepare a new quote.

The DoorPack Quoting Module is design with simple pick list items. Start a new quote by selecting the Add Package button.

DoorPack allows you to build all of your manufacturers packages for both residential and commercial quotes.

In this example we will create a Wayne Dalton quote with their Model 9800. DoorPack allows you to determine and build the specific packages (models), options and pick lists that you require. Your items may be imported from an Excel spreadsheet by Fireline Systems and/or linked to the QuickBooks items file.

Building a quote from your existing manufacturer templates are very simple. Start by selecting a manufacturer and package. Next you will see a list of Options associated with that specific package. Each Option (1) has a corresponding list of items to choose from (2). Choose an Option and then select one of more items to add to your quote (2). The items selected will appear in the lower portion of the screen (3). Continue to pick  Options and items for your quote. You can change the item descriptions, quantities and amounts as needed. You can also have specific items automatically included in every quote for a package like a door box, etc. These items will be added to the selected items. (3). DoorPack has a variety of pricing options available including preset customer pricing tables with preassigned mark-ups and or discounts. Prices can be changed prior to printing your proposal in the Quote Analysis option.

After you’ve added your main items  you have the ability to add additional misc. items, labor, freight,  etc. Quantities, prices and descriptions may be edited at any time. Comments may be added by line item. ( Note: Labor may be included with your material items if desired.)

The Quote Questions tab is designed as an optional estimating guide. You can preassign specific questions for any of your Packages. These are normally installation reminders or up-sell questions for your sales people and installers. Boiler plate notes may be added for this quote by selecting the Notes tab. Free-form quote comments to appear on the quote may be added with the Quotes Comments tab. Package attachments might include adding the pre-attached Wayne Dalton 9800 Package brochure for this quote.

The DoorPack Quote Analysis screen provide ultimate flexibility to determine your actual customer price prior to printing or emailing your proposal. You can use a mark-up/ down, gross margin calculation or both to review your quotes.

Like a spreadsheet you may want to experiment with your mark-ups, apply discounts and add misc. costs like mileage, freight, etc. This can all be done in the Analysis feature of DoorPack. Adjustments can be made for each line item

Fireline Systems will work with you to create your own custom proposal format.

After you have completed your proposal it is automatically saved in the customer’s history for future review or editing. Your proposal may be printed or emailed.

It’s simple to turn a new sale into an installation work order in DoorPack. Using the Service and Installation Module click the work order button next to the quote on the dashboard.  Your installation work order is printed along with a pick list of quoted items for your installers.  DoorPack also provides seamless integration to your  QuickBooks for billing while maintaining the customer work order history of parts used and labor.  Installed equipment/ products are tracked in your customer history with warranty and installation date information.
